After a one-year’s break, Rally Sarma returned in Estonian Rally championship calendar. Northern neighbours have always been frequent visitors to this rally and always fighting for the victory. The organizer predicts that the total number of participants in Rally Sarma 2018 will exceed seventy. At the same time, some foreign crews who are considering using this rally as a training before the WRC Rally Sweden have showed interest about the Rally Sarma. It is possible that some unseen rally crews in Latvia will please rally spectators.

The winners of the Rally Sarma 2018 will be cleared at nine special stages with a total length of 109.56 km. Several classic special stages will return on Rally Sarma after a break of more than ten years. At the same time, one of special stages will be completely new. One of the integral parts of the Rally Sarma is a night special stages. That why two final special stages will run after sunset. Competitors of the historic rally and rally sprint would have to take a shorter distance and reach the finish well before dark.

In order to ensure the smooth running of the rally, the ceremonial opening of the rally, similarly to last year, will take place on the previous day at 19:30. Start of the rally scheduled for 10th February at 9:30 and the first rally car will reach finish at 19:00. The competition day will be closed at 21:00 with the award ceremony.
