Traditional winter rally “Sarma 2016” will be held in late January
One of the oldest rallies in Baltic – Rally Sarma – will be held from 23rd to 24th January 2016 in neighborhood of Gulbene in Latvia. Rally Sarma 2016 will be opening round of Latvian and Estonian national rally championships, 2nd round of Latvian rallysprint championship simultaneously this year.
Two special stages are prepared for the first day of rally. Both special stages will be used twice – once in the day time and second time after the sunset. So total length of the special stages in the Day One will be 51 km.
Final racing day will continue in traditional roads of Gulbene's neighborhood where three special stages will be driven twice with total distance of 74 km. One of the Day Two stages is new but another has a new final section. Actually only one special stage of Rally Sarma 2016 will be known for participants from last year.
