Rally Talsi – begins Friday, concludes Saturday

Latvian Rally Championship round Rally Talsi, which is also part of the 2017 season of Lithuanian Rally Championship and the FIA Baltic Rally Trophy, has gathered a large number of participants. The rally and rallysprint distances will be tackled by 83 crews, joined by 52 more historic cars, to bring the total up to 135 competitors from 11 countries. All of them will battle for victory in Rally Talsi, on May 19 and 20.

Gintautas Šlepikas will be one of four drivers competing for this year’s Champions Cup in Rally Talsi. The 2016 Lithuanian Rally Champion in LRC2 (N4 group) class will contest the Talsi based event for the fifth time, but it will be his first opportunity to take home the prestigious Champions Cup, which has previously been won by two other Lithuanian drivers – Vytautas Švedas (in 2011, 2014, and 2016), and Dominykas Butvilas (in 2013). Šlepikas will drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X N4, with Audrius Pivoras as a co-driver.

Four champions among Rally Talsi entrants: Rovanperä, Vorobjovs, Šlepikas, and Sirmacis

Rally Talsi will once again welcome rally champions, continuing the tradition of determining the fastest among them, with the winner getting to keep the travelling Champions Cup until next year. Four rally champions of the 2016 rally season will take part in the Rally of Champions this year: Latvian champion Kalle Rovanperä, Lithuanian champions Jānis Vorobjovs and Gintautas Šlepikas, as well as North European Zone champion Ralfs Sirmacis. Latvian rally championship round Rally Talsi will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 19 and 20!

Latvijas Rallija Čempionāta posmos rūks arī vēsturiskie spēkrati

19.maijā, rallija “Talsi” ietvaros, notiks LAF vēsturiskās regularitātes rallija pirmais posms, kur piedalīsies gan sporta, gan standarta automašīnas, kuru ražošana uzsākta līdz 1992.gadam. 2017.gada sezonā notiks trīs LAF Vēsturiskās regularitātes rallija posmi – rallijos “Talsi”, “Latvija” 22., 23.07. un “Liepāja” 06.-08.10.

Special price for the first 500 Rally Talsi tickets

Starting today, tickets to Rally Talsi, set to take place from May 19 to 20, will go on sale in Biļešu Serviss locations in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, as well as online. The first 500 tickets have a special price of 10 EUR, with the following tickets priced at 12 EUR. On the week of the event, starting May 15, the ticket price will raise to 15 EUR.
